I have indeed arrived safely in Mali. The Lord's grace truly is sufficient as He proved Himself many times during our big adventure to the city of Bamako. We were presented to the church here this morning, and were received with all the love and kindness that one could possibly hope for. We get a sneak peak at our apartment tonight, after a cookout with some fellow missionaries. I really, really miss home.. But, I'm sure its just a matter of time before this place becomes home.

Above all...the presence of God is in you and will give you the peace, strength, power and joy for each day to fulfill his calling. Girl....I'm envious.....to be your age and right in realm of God's Will for your life is amazing. We will continually pray....please send us any specific request you may have as time goes by. 2. You are Amazing!
I am so honored to be your Mom.
The gift of "WHO YOU ARE" has been a gift beyond compare, one I will hold and treasure in my heart for all of eternity.
Nothing in me deserves the privilege of being your Mom; however, I will be forever grateful to the God who so intricately formed you in my womb, created this Beauty of an Individual, both inside and out, and placed you in my arms for such a brief moment of time.
Your Love & Passion for Christ radiate from the core of your being and will cast its beams upon the souls of men and bend their hearts towards their Creator.
The Hand of your Master is upon you. He will strengthen and quicken you. He will uphold you in your hours of need.
His Light will shine upon the dark places of your path and your feet will not stumble.
His Peace will encompass your soul and mind, and you will progress forward with clarity of mind and spirit.
He will be a Fiery Wall of Protection about you and His Mighty Arm will move mountains before you.
Every dart of the enemy will be veered from its course and destroyed.
Your Destiny will be reached and you will accomplish every Plan of the Lord.
Arise my precious Lioness of God, let your Roar be heard, SHAKE the land you have inherited, and Proclaim His shout of Victory!

Your Mommy loves you and is always praying for you.

  3. Hi there my friend...you have arrived and I am so excited for you! Galations 3 says, "But now you have arrived at your destination: By faith in Christ you are in direct relationship with God. Your baptism in Christ was not just washing you up for a fresh start. It also involved dressing you in an adult faith wardrobe - Christ's life, the fulfillment of God's original promise." Ariel, I am so very proud of you for being the obedient, Godly woman that you are. I ask God to strengthen you by His Spirit-a glorious inner strength-that Christ will continue to live in you as you open the door and share Him with others. I ask God to plant both your feet firmly on love, and share His love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live a full life in the fullness of God. God is going to do great and mighty things-far more than you can ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!I love you my friend and will continue to pray for you!

  4. little girl, i am so insanely excited for you. the day before you left, when i saw you at the church but wasn't able to hug you goodbye, i came home and cried until my pillow was soaked. but then the next morning, i was so excited. i'm still excited. watching you prepare these last few months and seeing how ready you are for this has made me realize why you were put in my life. i was kind of upset at God at first because i was like "why would you put her in my life and then have her leave?" but then i realized this: both of our destinies were planned before we were created, and before either of us met. that said, you were put in my life so that you could show me how to leave this behind and follow Jesus' plan for me. if that makes any sense. these next 11 months are going to be incredible for you, and i can't wait. i'm not even sad anymore. i hope that God shows you a whole new level of himself, and that soon 'home' won't mean where your biological family is. :) i love you, and i'm stoked beyond belief for you. i cannot wait to hear about all of it.
